Today is the first official Orphan Sunday in North America. Orphan Sunday is an opportunity for the church to simultaneously consider what God has done for us — He has visited us in Christ — and what we can do for orphaned and vulnerable children. What the 143,000,000 orphaned and vulnerable children in our world need are people who have been freed by Christ to visit them.
