It’s exciting to see more and more churches seeking to equip their people in the areas of adoption, foster care, and orphan care because God’s heart for the orphan is most clearly seen through the James 1:27 ministry of the church.

If you live near Knoxville, Tennessee, you’ll want to consider attending Cornerstone Church of Knoxville‘s “Seminar on Adoption, Foster Care, and Orphan Care.” This symposium will be held on Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The day will begin with Doug Hayes of Covenant Mercies answering the question “Why Are Christians Called to Care for Orphans?”, followed by breakout sessions to be conducted by Bethany Christian Services, Knox County DCS, Youth Villages, Child Help, Adoption Foundation of Tennessee, and others.

The cost is only $5/person and includes lunch and materials. Anyone interested may attend. You can register on-line at: http://cornerstonechurchofknoxville.com/registration/registration.php?id=42. Visit here for more information.
