Who will be at NatCon 2013 - Vermon Pierre

Vermon Pierre is one of our excellent general session speakers for our October 4-5 National Conference at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. His talk is entitled “Stories of the Fatherless Re-Written.”

Vermon is a graduate of Princeton University and has a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After Trinity, Vermon served as a pastoral intern at Camelback Bible Church before being called to serve as lead pastor of Roosevelt Church in Phoenix, AZ. Vermon also actively participates in the local community by serving on the board of Roosevelt Row.

Vermon is the first generation of his family born in the United States. Both of his parents were born in Haiti. He grew up in a Christian home and was blessed to know Christ at an early age. Vermon and his wife, Dennae, live in downtown Phoenix and are the parents of three wonderful children. In addition to this, they are foster parents and provide short term, emergency respite care for foster children. And Vermon’s wife, Dennae, has written some of the most popular articles on Together for Adoption’s blog.

Vermon also occasionally writes for The Gospel Coalition: (1) “Why I Wanted to Go to the Million Man March” and (1) “Don’t Throw Out Your Nice Suit Just Yet.”
