Who will be at our conference - Scotty Smith

Scotty Smith is one of our general session speakers for our October 4-5 National Conference at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. His talk is entitled “When Everything Sad Comes Untrue.”

Scotty Smith is the former Senior Pastor and current Founding Pastor of Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN, Professor at Covenant Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary, and author of six books: Speechless with Steven Curtis Chapman; Unveiled Hope with Michael Card; Objects of His AffectionThe Reign of GraceRestoring Broken Things with Steven Curtis Chapman; and Everyday Prayers: 365 Days to a Gospel-Centered Faith.

Under Scotty’s leadership, Christ Community Church has reached thousands in the Nashville area and planted several daughter churches. Scotty and Darlene, his wife of thirty-nine years, have two adult married children and one grandson. He enjoys fly-fishing, cross training, classic rock and roll, Motown Music and cooking.
