Providing gospel-centered resources to mobilize the church for global orphan care.

A Little of This | A Little of That

We are fresh off last weekend’s Together For Adoption conference in Atlanta and are now focusing our energies on October 4-5′s T4A conference for pastors & ministry leaders at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. If you weren’t able to join us and over 600 others in Atlanta, we’d love to have you come see us in Louisville! Get the details about our October 4-5 conference in Louisville at our PasCon page.

While we are gearing up for the next few weeks, below is some of what is jumping around in my head.

T4A Volunteers Are the Best of the Best

As as I concerned, God has provided T4A with volunteers who are without peer. They are Kingdom servants who with great joy and without fail put the needs of others before their own. Together for Adoption would not exist without them. In ways large and small, God graciously uses their faithful service to further the mission of T4A (Together for Adoption exists to provide gospel-centered resources that magnify the adopting grace of God the Father in Christ Jesus and mobilize the church for global orphan care.).

So, as a small token of appreciation, I’ve listed each of their Twitter handles below and ask that you would give them a “Thank you!” Twitter-follow:

Scott Crawford
Dennae Pierre
Travis Carpenter
Jessica Carpenter
Kayla Payton
Kaleb and Meagan Scharmahorn
Sharon O’Meara Lyon
Larry and Angela Prince (Facebook)
Carol Tant
Amy King
Aaron Higgs

There are many others that I could and will thank, but these particular heroes of mine logged in many long hours and weeks to serve the 600+ people who joined us in Atlanta, and they did so without asking for anything in return. I love each of them and they have my deepest gratitude.

T4A Conference for Pastors & Ministry Leaders

As Jason Cornwell blogged yesterday, we have partnered with Hope for OrphansWhite Horse Inn, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for our first conference for pastors and ministry leaders to be held this coming October 4-5 in Louisville, KY. Our conference theme is Our Triune God & The Pastor: A Theology of Adoption for the Church. If you’re wondering who we have coming to unpack that important theme, God’s provided us with an amazing lineup of pastors and theologians: Sinclair Ferguson, Michael Horton, Fred Sander, Robert Smith, Jr., Russell Moore, David Garner, Tim J.R. Trumper, and many others (see the full listing of our speaker lineups here and here).

We’d be honored if you would join us! Learn more about this unique conference.

Micah Watson and Shaun Groves

I’ve served with Micah Watson and Shaun Groves at two T4A conferences. These two guys are the real deal, and by “real deal,” I mean I would not hesitate to serve with these two men anywhere or at any time. I love these guys. They’ve always served the T4A community with humility and kindness.

If you are not familiar with Shaun Groves’ righthand man Micah Watson, Shaun blogged about his good friend today. Give it a read.

After the Last Tear Falls

Last but certainly not least, I received word last night from my brother Steve that they just received their travel date to Ukraine to bring home their two newest children! Tears ran down my face as I read his email about the news (I should have expected tears would run down my face since the name of his adoption blog is “After the Last Tear Falls“). As a proud and excited brother, I had to share this news with you all!
